حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ وَاقِفٌ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِعَرَفَةَ إِذْ وَقَعَ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَوَقَصَتْهُ ـ أَوْ قَالَ فَأَوْقَصَتْهُ ـ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ، وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهُ طِيبًا، وَلاَ تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ، وَلاَ تُحَنِّطُوهُ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا ".
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that while a man was standing with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) at Arafat, he fell from his mount and his neck was broken. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Wash him with water and lote-tree leaves, and shroud him in two cloths. Do not apply any perfume to him, nor cover his head, nor apply embalming perfume, for Allah the Exalted will raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ عرفات میں کھڑا ہوا تھا کہ اپنی سواری سے گر پڑا اور اس کی گردن ٹوٹ گئی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اسے پانی اور بیری سے غسل دو اور دو کپڑوں میں کفنا دو، نہ اسے خوشبو لگاؤ اور نہ اس کا سر ڈھکو اور نہ حنوط لگاؤ، کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ اسے قیامت کے دن لبیک پکارتا ہوا اٹھائے گا۔
