حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " صَلاَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ تُضَعَّفُ عَلَى صَلاَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَفِي سُوقِهِ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ ضِعْفًا، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لاَ يُخْرِجُهُ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ، لَمْ يَخْطُ خَطْوَةً إِلاَّ رُفِعَتْ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ، وَحُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ، فَإِذَا صَلَّى لَمْ تَزَلِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ مَا دَامَ فِي مُصَلاَّهُ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ. وَلاَ يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا انْتَظَرَ الصَّلاَةَ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'The prayer offered in congregation is twenty-five times more excellent than the prayer offered at home or in the marketplace. This is because when a person performs ablution well and then goes out to the mosque with no purpose except prayer, every step he takes raises him one degree and one sin is erased from his record. When he finishes his prayer, the angels continue to pray for him as long as he remains at his place of prayer, saying: O Allah, bestow Your blessings upon him; O Allah, have mercy upon him. And as long as one waits for the prayer, one is considered to be in prayer.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: آدمی کی جماعت سے نماز گھر یا بازار میں تنہا نماز پڑھنے سے پچیس گنا زیادہ افضل ہے۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ جب کوئی شخص اچھی طرح وضو کرتا ہے اور صرف نماز کی نیت سے مسجد کی طرف نکلتا ہے تو ہر قدم پر اس کا ایک درجہ بلند ہوتا ہے اور ایک گناہ مٹایا جاتا ہے۔ جب وہ نماز پڑھ لیتا ہے تو جب تک وہ اپنے مصلے پر بیٹھا رہتا ہے فرشتے اس کے لیے دعا کرتے رہتے ہیں: اے اللہ! اس پر رحمت نازل فرما، اے اللہ! اس پر رحم فرما۔ اور جب تک تم نماز کا انتظار کرتے رہو گویا تم نماز ہی میں ہو۔
