أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خَلِيلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَعْتَقَ عَبْدًا لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدَهُ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَبَاعَهُ وَقَالَ «أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِثَمَنِهِ وَاللَّهُ عَنْهُ غَنِيٌّ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that a man from the Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) freed a slave of his to take effect after his death, and he had no other property. So the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ordered that he (the slave) be sold and said: "You are more entitled to his price, and Allah is Self-Sufficient and has no need of him (i.e., the freeing at the expense of the owner's dependents)."
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ایک صحابی نے اپنے غلام کو موت کے بعد آزاد ہونے کی وصیت کی جبکہ اس کے علاوہ ان کے پاس کوئی مال نہیں تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حکم فرمایا کہ اسے بیچ دیا جائے اور ارشاد فرمایا: تم اس کی قیمت کے زیادہ حقدار ہو، اور اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے بے نیاز ہے (یعنی اہل و عیال کے نقصان کی قیمت پر آزاد کرنا)۔
