ʿAli (ؓ )addressed us and said: O people, carry out the hadd punishments on your slaves, both those who have been married and those who have not been married, for a slave woman of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ committed zina and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to carry out the hadd Punishment on her. I went to her and found that she was still bleeding following childbirth, and I was afraid that if I flogged her she would die So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him about that, and he said: “You have done well.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1341) حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ خَطَبَ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَقِيمُوا الْحُدُودَ عَلَى أَرِقَّائِكُمْ مَنْ أُحْصِنَ مِنْهُنَّ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُحْصِ��ْ فَإِنَّ أَمَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَنَتْ فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَجْلِدَهَا فَأَتَيْتُهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِنِفَاسٍ فَخَشِيتُ إِنْ أَنَا جَلَدْتُهَا أَنْ أَقْتُلَهَا وَأَنْ تَمُوتَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «أَحْسَنْتَ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) addressed the people and said: "O people, carry out the prescribed punishments on your slaves — both those who are married and those who are not — for a slave woman of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) committed adultery, and he ordered me to carry out the punishment on her. I went to her and found that she was still bleeding (from childbirth), so I feared that if I flogged her she would die. I returned to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and told him. He stated: 'You have done well. Leave her until her bleeding stops, then carry out the punishment on her.'"
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے لوگوں کو خطاب کیا اور فرمایا: "اے لوگو، اپنی لونڈیوں پر حدود قائم کرو — چاہے شادی شدہ ہوں یا غیر شادی شدہ — کیونکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ایک لونڈی نے زنا کیا اور آپ نے مجھے حکم دیا کہ اس پر حد قائم کروں۔ میں اس کے پاس گیا تو وہ ابھی خون بہہ رہا تھا (نفاس سے)، مجھے ڈر ہوا کہ اگر میں نے اسے کوڑے لگائے تو وہ مر جائے گی۔ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس واپس آیا اور بتایا۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'تم نے اچھا کیا۔ اسے چھوڑو یہاں تک کہ اس کا خون بند ہو جائے پھر اس پر حد قائم کرو۔'"
