حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ، فَأَصَابَهُ وَعْكٌ فَقَالَ أَقِلْنِي بَيْعَتِي. فَأَبَى، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ فَقَالَ أَقِلْنِي بَيْعَتِي. فَأَبَى، فَخَرَجَ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْمَدِينَةُ كَالْكِيرِ، تَنْفِي خَبَثَهَا، وَيَنْصَعُ طِيبُهَا ".
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that a Bedouin pledged allegiance to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) for Islam. Then he was afflicted with fever and said: 'Cancel my pledge.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) refused. Then the Bedouin came again and said: 'Cancel my pledge.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) refused. So the Bedouin left (Madinah). The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then declared: 'Madinah is like a furnace (bellows) — it expels its impurities and brightens its pure (substance).'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک اعرابی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسلام پر بیعت کی، پھر اسے بخار ہو گیا تو اس نے عرض کیا: میری بیعت فسخ کر دیجیے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انکار فرمایا۔ پھر وہ آیا اور عرض کیا: میری بیعت فسخ کر دیجیے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انکار فرمایا۔ پھر وہ (مدینہ سے) نکل گیا۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مدینہ بھٹی کی طرح ہے، اپنے میل کچیل کو نکال دیتا ہے اور اپنی خالص (چیز) کو چمکا دیتا ہے۔
