حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ، النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرَدْنَ أَنْ يَبْعَثْنَ عُثْمَانَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ يَسْأَلْنَهُ مِيرَاثَهُنَّ. فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَلَيْسَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ ".
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd Allah ibn Maslamah narrated to us, from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Urwah, from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her), that the wives of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed away, wanted to send Hadrat 'Uthman (may Allah be well pleased with him) to Hadrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be well pleased with him) to ask for their inheritance. Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: Did the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) not say: "We (Prophets) are not inherited from; what we leave behind is charity"?
اردو ترجمہ
ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے مالک سے، انہوں نے ابن شہاب سے، انہوں نے عروہ سے، انہوں نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ازواج مطہرات نے جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی وفات ہوئی تو حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس بھیجنا چاہا تاکہ ان سے اپنی میراث مانگیں۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے نہیں فرمایا تھا: "ہماری وراثت نہیں ہوتی، جو ہم نے چھوڑا وہ صدقہ ہے۔"
