حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدَّارِ مِنْ دُورِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ نَغْشَاهَا بَيَاتًا فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَكُونُ تَحْتَ الْغَارَةِ مِنْ الْوِلْدَانِ قَالَ هُمْ مِنْهُمْ.

'Abdullah narrated to us: Abu Humayd narrated to me, he said: 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn Najdah narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn al-Harith narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Utbah ibn Mas'ud, from Ibn 'Abbas, from al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah al-Laythi, who said: I asked the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, about a household among the households of the polytheists that we raid by night -- what about those children who are caught under the raid? He said: "They are of them."
