Arabic (Original)
عن أبي موسى رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال "تعاهدوا هذا القرآن فوالذي نفس محمد بيده لهو أشد تفلتًا من الإبل في عقلها". ((متفق عله)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)'s soul is, it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اس قرآن کی تعاہد (نگہبانی) کرو، قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جان ہے، یہ اونٹ سے بھی زیادہ تیزی سے بھاگتا ہے (یعنی حافظے سے نکل جاتا ہے)۔'
