English Translation
Narrated Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say three days before his death: None of you should die except while holding a good opinion of Allah (that is, at the time of death do not despair of Allah's mercy, but rather hope for the grace and generosity of your Master and hold a good opinion of your salvation and forgiveness). Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنی وفات سے روز قبل یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ تم میں سے کوئی آدمی نہ مرے مگر اللہ کے ساتھ نیک گمان رکھ کر (یعنی خاتمہ کے وقت اللہ کی رحمت سے ناامید نہ ہو بلکہ اپنے مالک کے فضل و کرم کی امید رکھے اور اپنی نجات اور مغفرت کا گمان رکھے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 455]
