Narrated Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say three days before his death: None of you should die except while holding a good opinion of Allah (that is, at the time of death do not despair of Allah's mercy, but rather hope for the grace and generosity of your Master and hold a good opinion of your salvation and forgiveness). اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنی وفات سے روز قبل یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ تم میں سے کوئی آدمی نہ مرے مگر اللہ کے ساتھ نیک گمان رکھ کر (یعنی خاتمہ کے وقت اللہ کی رحمت سے ناامید نہ ہو بلکہ اپنے مالک کے فضل و کرم کی امید رکھے اور اپنی نجات اور مغفرت کا گمان رکھے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 455]
