English Translation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): On the Day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took hold of a sword and said: Who will take this from me? The people stretched out their hands, each saying: I will take it, I will take it. He (peace be upon him) said: Who will fulfill its right? At this the people held back (because on the Day of Uhud the disbelievers had the upper hand). Sayyiduna Simak bin Kharasha, Abu Dujana (may Allah be pleased with him), said: I will fulfill its right. Then he took it and split open the heads of the polytheists with that sword.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے احد کے دن تلوار پکڑی اور فرمایا کہ یہ مجھ سے کون لیتا ہے؟ لوگوں نے ہاتھ پھیلائے اور ہر ایک کہتا تھا کہ میں لوں گا میں لوں گا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اس کا حق کون ادا کرے گا؟ یہ سنتے ہی لوگ پیچھے ہٹے (کیونکہ احد کے دن کافروں کا غلبہ تھا) سیدنا سماک بن خرشہ ابودجانہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں اس کا حق ادا کروں گا۔ پھر انہوں نے اس کو لے لیا اور مشرکوں کے سر اس تلوار سے چیرے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1710]
