أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ* عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ الْحَبَشَةَ كَانُوا يَزْفِنُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِكَلَامٍ لَا يَفْهَمْهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يَقُولُونَ؟ «قَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدٌ صَالِحٌ.»
English Translation
It is narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Abyssinians would dance before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and speak in words he did not understand. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: What are they saying? «They said: Muhammad is a righteous servant.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حبشی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سامنے ناچتے اور ایسی باتیں کرتے جو آپ سمجھ نہیں پاتے تھے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پوچھا: یہ کیا کہہ رہے ہیں؟ «انہوں نے کہا: محمد ایک نیک بندہ ہے۔»
