حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ مَا عِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ نَقْرَؤُهُ إِلاَّ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ، وَمَا فِي هَذِهِ الصَّحِيفَةِ فَقَالَ فِيهَا الْجِرَاحَاتُ وَأَسْنَانُ الإِبِلِ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ حَرَمٌ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْرٍ إِلَى كَذَا، فَمَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا حَدَثًا أَوْ آوَى فِيهَا مُحْدِثًا، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ، لاَ يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلاَ عَدْلٌ، وَمَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ، وَذِمَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَاحِدَةٌ، فَمَنْ أَخْفَرَ مُسْلِمًا فَعَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Ibrahim al-Taymi (upon him be mercy) from his father that Hadrat Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) delivered a sermon before us in which he stated: We have no book to recite besides the Book of Allah and what is in this document. He then stated: In it are the rulings regarding wounds and retaliation, the ages of camels (for blood money), and that Madinah is a sanctuary from the mountain of 'Air to such-and-such. Whoever introduces an innovation therein or shelters an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people; neither his obligatory nor voluntary acts of worship shall be accepted. And whoever (a freed slave) takes as his master someone other than his real master, upon him is the same (curse). And the covenant of the Muslims is one, so whoever betrays a Muslim in this regard, upon him is the same (curse).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابراہیم تیمی رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم نے ہمارے سامنے خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا جس میں فرمایا: ہمارے پاس کتاب اللہ اور اس صحیفے کے سوا کوئی اور کتاب (احکام شریعت کی) نہیں جسے ہم پڑھیں۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا: اس میں زخموں کے قصاص اور دیت کے اونٹوں کی عمر کے احکام ہیں، اور مدینہ عَیر سے فلاں (احد) تک حرم ہے۔ جس نے اس میں کوئی نئی بات (دین میں) نکالی یا ایسے شخص کو پناہ دی تو اس پر اللہ، فرشتوں اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہے، نہ اس کا فرض قبول ہو گا اور نہ نفل۔ اور جس غلام نے اپنے مالکوں کے سوا کسی اور کو مالک بنایا تو اس پر بھی اسی طرح (لعنت) ہے۔ اور تمام مسلمانوں کا ذمہ ایک ہے، جس نے کسی مسلمان کے عہد میں دخل اندازی کی تو اس پر بھی اسی طرح لعنت ہے۔
