Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ غَيْرَ بَيْتِ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، إِلاَّ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ " إِنِّي أَرْحَمُهَا، قُتِلَ أَخُوهَا مَعِي ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would not enter any house in Madinah other than the house of Hadrat Umm Sulaym (may Allah be well pleased with her), apart from the houses of his blessed wives. When he was asked about this, he stated: "I feel compassion for her; her brother was martyred while he was with me."
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنی ازواجِ مطہرات کے گھروں کے علاوہ مدینہ میں کسی کے گھر میں تشریف نہیں لے جاتے تھے سوائے اُمّ سلیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے گھر کے۔ جب آپ سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو ارشاد فرمایا: "مجھے ان پر رحم آتا ہے، ان کا بھائی میرے ساتھ (جہاد میں) شہید ہوا تھا۔"
