Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلاً مَذَّاءً فَأَمَرْتُ رَجُلاً أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِمَكَانِ ابْنَتِهِ فَسَأَلَ فَقَالَ " تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Ali (may Allah ennoble his countenance) narrates: I used to experience frequent pre-seminal discharge (madhi), and since the daughter of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) — Hadrat Fatima al-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her) — was my wife, I asked a man to inquire about this from him. He asked, and the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Perform ablution and wash your private part — that is sufficient.
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی (المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم) فرماتے ہیں: مجھے مذی بکثرت آتی تھی اور چونکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی صاحبزادی (حضرت فاطمہ الزہراء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا) میرے نکاح میں تھیں، اس لیے میں نے ایک شخص سے کہا کہ وہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اس کا مسئلہ پوچھیں۔ انہوں نے پوچھا تو آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: وضو کرو اور اپنی شرمگاہ کو دھو لو (یہی کافی ہے)۔
