حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ نَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَخِيهِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَسْحِ الْحَصَا يَعْنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ مَسْحَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَسْحِ الْحَصَا يَعْنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ مَسْحَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْهُ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ma'mar narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Asim narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Layla, from his brother 'Isa, from his father 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about wiping pebbles - meaning during prayer - and he said: "One wipe only." This hadith - we do not know it to be narrated from Abu Dharr except through the narration of Ibn Abi Layla from him.
