حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ نَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ حَيْثُ مَا كُنْتَ وَأَتْبِعِ السَّيِّئَةَ الْحَسَنَةَ تَمْحُهَا وَخَالِقِ النَّاسَ بِخُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ حَيْثُ مَا كُنْتَ وَأَتْبِعِ السَّيِّئَةَ الْحَسَنَةَ تَمْحُهَا وَخَالِقِ النَّاسَ بِخُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Maymun ibn Abi Shabib, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "Fear Allah wherever you are, follow a bad deed with a good deed and it will erase it, and deal with people with good character."
