أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ بِمِثْلِ إِسْنَادِهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَجَارِيَةٍ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَأَى بِوَجْهِهَا سَفْعَةً فَقَالَ بِهَا نَظْرَةٌ فَاسْتَرْقُوا لَهَا يَعْنِي بِوَجْهِهَا صُفْرَةٌ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Balawayh narrated to us, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Bishr ibn Marwan narrated to us, Abu al-Rabi' Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Harb narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Walid al-Zubaydi narrated to us with the same chain: that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said about a girl in the house of Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), when he saw a dark mark on her face: "She has been afflicted by the evil eye, so perform ruqyah for her" - meaning her face had a yellowish discoloration.
