أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمُقْرِئُ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قِصَّةِ الْخَوْفِ فَأُرِيتُ النَّارَ فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ مَنْظَرًا أَفْظَعَ وَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ قَالُوا بِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ بِكُفْرِهِنَّ قِيلَ أَيَكْفُرْنَ بِاللهِ ﷻ؟ قَالَ يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ وَيَكْفُرْنَ الْإِحْسَانَ لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Ahmad al-Muqri informed us... from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace be upon him), in the story of the fear: And I was shown the Fire, and I have never seen a sight more terrible than today. I saw that most of its inhabitants were women. They asked: Why, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Because of their ingratitude. It was asked: Do they disbelieve in Allah? He said: They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kind treatment. If you were to treat one of them well for an entire lifetime, then she sees something from you she dislikes, she says: I have never seen any good from you.
