أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظِ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي نا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ نا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ أَظُنُّهُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ شَكَتْ فَاطِمَةُ مَا تَلْقَى مِنْ أَثَرِ الرَّحَى فِي يَدِهَا قَالَ فَذَهَبَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا فَلَمْ تَرَهُ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ ؓ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ذَكَرْتُ لَهُ قَالَ فَجَاءَنَا وَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا فَذَهَبْتُ أَقُومُ فَقَالَ مَكَانَكِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ بَيْنَنَا حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ قَدَمَيْهِ عَلَى صَدْرِي فَقَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمَا عَلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمَا مِنْ خَادِمٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُمَا مَضَاجِعَكُمَا فَسَبِّحَا ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَاحْمِدَا ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَكَبِّرَا أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ خَادِمٍ وَقَالَ خَالِدٌ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ التَّسْبِيحُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ
English Translation
Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Fatimah complained about the blisters on her hands from the hand mill. She went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to ask him for a servant, but she did not find him. She mentioned that to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and when he came, Aisha told him. He came to us when we had already lain down. I was about to get up, but he said: Stay where you are. He sat between us until I felt the coolness of his feet on my chest. He said: Shall I not guide you to something better for you than a servant? When you go to bed, glorify Allah thirty-three times, praise Him thirty-three times, and declare His greatness thirty-four times. That is better for you than a servant. Khalid said from Ibn Sirin: The glorification is thirty-four.
