English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us... from Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and they became thirsty. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) began serving them water. He was told: Will you not drink, O Messenger of Allah? He said: The server of the people is the last of them to drink. We have also narrated this in the established hadith from Abu Qatadah from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the Book of Prayer.
