English Translation
Rawh told us: Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: Abu Hadir informed me, he said: Ibn Umar was asked about the earthenware jar in which nabidh (a date or raisin drink) was made, and he said: "Allah and His Messenger forbade it." So the man went to Ibn Abbas and mentioned to him what Ibn Umar had said, and Ibn Abbas said: "He spoke the truth." The man said to Ibn Abbas: "Which jar did he forbid?" He said: "Everything made of clay."
