حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ بُعِثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً فَمَكَثَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ أُمِرَ بِالْهِجْرَةِ فَهَاجَرَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Rawh told us: Hisham told us: Ikrimah told us, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent as a prophet at forty years of age. He remained in Makkah for thirteen years receiving revelation, then he was commanded to migrate, and he lived ten more years after migrating, then he died at the age of sixty-three, peace and blessings be upon him."
