حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ أَنْ آخُذَ مِنْ كُلِّ ثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ الْبَقَرِ بَقَرَةً تَبِيعًا أَوْ تَبِيعَةً أَوْ قَالَ جَذَعًا أَوْ جَذَعَةً وَمِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ بَقَرَةً بَقَرَةً مُسِنَّةً وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَالِمٍ دِينَارًا أَوْ عَدْلَهُ مَعَافِرَ.
English Translation
Abdullah narrated to us: My father narrated to me: Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Sharik narrated to us, from Asim, from Abu Wail, from Muadh, that he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me to Yemen, commanding me to take from every thirty head of cattle a bull calf or a heifer calf, or he said a young bull or young cow, and from every forty cattle a fully-grown cow, and from every adult a dinar or its equivalent in Maafiri garments.
