English Translation
Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Khalaf ibn Hisham narrated to me: Abu Awanah narrated to us from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: A mule died in a man's possession, so he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to seek a ruling. Jabir ibn Samurah related that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to its owner: "What is the matter with you? Do you have anything that would suffice you instead of it?" He said: "No." He said: "Then go and eat it."
