حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ قَدْ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ فَلَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ.
English Translation
Hasan told us: Shu'bah told us, from Qatadah, from Mutarrif ibn al-Shikhkhir, from his father — and his father had come to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him — he said: Whoever fasts continuously the whole year has neither fasted nor broken his fast.
