حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us from Malik ibn Anas, from Abu al-Nadr, from Zur'ah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Jarhad, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by him while he had uncovered his thigh, and said: Do you not know that the thigh is [part of the] private area?
