Ishaq ibn Isa ibn al-Tabba' narrated to us: Jarir - meaning Ibn Hazim - narrated to us from Wasil al-Ahdab, from Abu Wa'il, from Shurayh, who said: I heard a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: God, Exalted, said: O son of Adam, if you rise towards Me, I will walk towards you; and if you walk towards Me, I will hasten towards you.
