Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Shu'ayb informed us, from al-Zuhri, he said: 'Urwah informed me, from Abu Humayd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be well pleased with him), who told him that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) appointed a tax collector. When the collector finished his work, he came and said: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift. He said to him: "Why did you not sit in your father's and mother's house and see whether you would receive gifts or not?" Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up in the evening after the prayer, testified to the faith, and praised Allah the Exalted as He deserves, then said: "After praise and salutations: What is the matter with a collector whom we appoint, then he comes to us saying: This is from your work, and this was given to me as a gift? Why did he not sit in his father's and mother's house and see whether he would receive gifts or not? By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, whoever among you steals anything from them, he will come on the Day of Resurrection carrying it on his neck. If it is a camel, it will come bellowing; if it is a cow, it will come mooing; and if it is a sheep, it will come bleating. I have conveyed (the message)." Abu Humayd (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) raised his hand so high that we could see the whiteness of his armpits. Abu Humayd (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: Hadrat Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be well pleased with him) also heard this with me from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so ask him.
الترجمة الأردية
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، ہمیں شعیب نے خبر دی، انہوں نے زہری سے، کہا مجھے عروہ نے خبر دی، انہوں نے حضرت ابو حمید ساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہ انہوں نے ان کو بتایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک عامل (محصول وصول کرنے والا) مقرر فرمایا۔ جب اس نے اپنا کام مکمل کیا تو آیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ آپ کے لیے ہے اور یہ مجھے ہدیہ دیا گیا ہے۔ آپ نے اس سے ارشاد فرمایا: "کیا تم اپنے باپ اور ماں کے گھر میں بیٹھ کر دیکھتے کہ تمہیں ہدیہ ملتا ہے یا نہیں؟" پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم شام کو نماز کے بعد کھڑے ہوئے، شہادت پڑھی اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد و ثنا بیان فرمائی جو اس کے شایانِ شان ہے، پھر ارشاد فرمایا: "حمد و صلوٰۃ کے بعد! عامل کا کیا حال ہے جسے ہم مقرر کرتے ہیں، پھر وہ ہمارے پاس آتا ہے اور کہتا ہے: یہ تمہارے کام سے ہے اور یہ مجھے ہدیہ ملا ہے۔ کیا وہ اپنے باپ اور ماں کے گھر میں بیٹھتا، پھر دیکھتا کہ اسے ہدیہ ملتا ہے یا نہیں؟ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد کی جان ہے! تم میں سے جو کوئی بھی ان میں سے کچھ چرائے گا تو وہ قیامت کے دن اسے اپنی گردن پر اٹھا کر آئے گا۔ اگر اونٹ ہوگا تو بلبلاتا ہوا آئے گا، اگر گائے ہوگی تو ڈکارتی ہوئی آئے گی، اور اگر بکری ہوگی تو میمیاتی ہوئی آئے گی۔ میں نے (اللہ کا پیغام) پہنچا دیا ہے۔" ابو حمید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنا ہاتھ اتنا اونچا اٹھایا کہ ہم آپ کی بغلوں کی سفیدی دیکھ رہے تھے۔ ابو حمید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: یہ بات حضرت زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بھی میرے ساتھ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سنی ہے، ان سے پوچھ لو۔
