قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَوْسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَاسْتَوْكَفَ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ قُلْتُ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ اسْتَوْكَفَ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said, Ali ibn Hafs and Husayn ibn Muhammad told us, they said: Shu'ba told us, from al-Nu'man ibn Salim, who said: I heard Amr ibn Aws narrate from his grandfather Aws ibn Abi Aws: that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performing ablution, and he rinsed three times. I said: What is meant by 'rinsed three times'? He said: He washed his hands three times.
