وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال وهو على المنبر، وذكر الصدقة والتعفف عن المسألة: "اليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى. واليد العليا هي المنفقة، والسفلى هي السائلة" ((متفق عليه)).
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) reported:While Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was on his pulpit (in the mosque) delivering a Khutbah (religious talk) about Sadaqah (charity) and begging, he said, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand, the upper hand is the one which gives and the lower hand is the begging one.".
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے منبر پر فرمایا، اور صدقہ اور سوال سے بچنے کا ذکر فرمایا: اوپر والا ہاتھ نیچے والے ہاتھ سے بہتر ہے، اوپر والا ہاتھ خرچ کرنے والا ہے اور نیچے والا مانگنے والا ہے۔ (متفق علیہ)
