انگریزی ترجمہ
Aswad bin Yazid says: People mentioned in the presence of the Mother of the Believers Aishah as-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was the executor (wasi) of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). She said: "When did he appoint him executor? I was sitting with him held against my chest, or he was in my lap, when he asked for a basin. Then he sank down in my lap and I did not even realize that he had passed away. So when did he make a bequest to (Ali, may Allah be pleased with him)?" [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 986]
اردو ترجمہ
اسود بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہلوگوں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس ذکر کیا کہ سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے وصی تھے، تو انہوں نے کہا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کو کب وصی بنایا؟ میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنے سینے سے لگائے بیٹھی تھی یا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیری گود میں تھے کہ اتنے میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے طشت منگوایا پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیری گود میں گر پڑے اور مجھے خبر نہیں ہوئی کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلموفات پا چکے ہیں پھر (علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو) کس وقت وصیت کی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 986]
