انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): We used to contract mut'a (with women for several days) in exchange for a handful of dates and flour during the era of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), until 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade it in the case of 'Amr bin Hurayth.

سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم (عورتوں سے کئی دن کے لئے) ایک مٹھی کھجور اور آٹا دے کر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماور سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے دور میں متعہ کر لیتے تھے یہاں تک کہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عمرو بن حریث کے قصہ میں اس سے منع کر دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 810]
