انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Qays: I heard 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying: We used to wage jihad with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and we had no women with us, so we said, "Should we not castrate ourselves?" So he (peace be upon him) forbade us from that. Then he permitted us to marry a woman for a fixed term in exchange for a garment (that is, mut'a). Then 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: "O you who believe! Do not forbid the good things which Allah the Exalted has made lawful for you, and do not transgress the limits; indeed, Allah the Exalted does not love the transgressors." (al-Ma'ida: 87)
اردو ترجمہ
قیس کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا وہ کہتے تھے کہ ہم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ہمراہ جہاد کرتے تھے اور ہمارے پاس عورتیں نہ تھیں تو ہم نے کہا کہ کیا ہم خصی نہ ہو جائیں؟ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ہمیں اس سے منع فرما دیا پھر ہمیں اجازت دی کہ ایک کپڑے کے بدلے معین مدت تک عورت سے نکاح (یعنی متعہ) کر لیں پھر سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ آیت پڑھی کہ”اے ایمان والو! مت حرام کرو پاک چیزوں کو جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہارے لئے حلال کی ہیں اور حد سے نہ بڑھو، بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا“۔ (المائدہ: 87)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 809]
