It is narrated from Sayyiduna 'Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) had developed marks on her hands from grinding at the mill. Captives (slaves) had come to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), so she went (to ask for one). She did not find him (peace be upon him) but met the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) and told her the matter. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came, the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) told him of Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra's (may Allah be pleased with her) coming. Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to us while we had already gone to our bed. We wished to rise, but he (peace be upon him) said, "Stay in your place." Then he (peace be upon him) sat between us (that is, between me and Sayyidah Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her) until I felt the coolness of his feet on my chest. He (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you two of something better than what you asked for (that is, a servant)? When you two lie down (to sleep), say 'Allahu Akbar' thirty-four times, 'SubhanAllah' thirty-three times, and 'al-Hamdu lillah' thirty-three times. This is better for you than a servant." In another narration there is the addition that Sayyiduna 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Since I heard this from the Prophet (peace be upon him), I have never abandoned it." He was asked, "Even on the night of Siffin?" He replied, "Yes! Even on the night of Siffin (I did not leave it)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہسیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہاتھوں پر چکی پیسنے کی وجہ سے نشان پڑ گئے تھے۔ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس قیدی (غلام) آئے، وہ آئیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو نہ پایا تو ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے ملیں اور ان سے یہ حال بیان کیا۔ جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمتشریف لائے تو ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سیدہ فاطمۃالزہراء رضی اللہ عنہا کے آنے کا حال بیان کیا۔ یہ سن کر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور ہم اپنے بچھونے پر جا چکے تھے، ہم نے اٹھنا چاہا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اپنی جگہ پر رہو۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمارے بیچ میں بیٹھ گئے (یعنی میرے اور سیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے بیچ میں) یہاں تک کہ میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے قدموں کی ٹھنڈک اپنے سینہ پر پائی۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ میں تم دونوں کو وہ نہ بتاؤں جو اس چیز سے بہتر ہے جو تم نے مانگا (یعنی خادم سے)؟ جب تم دونوں (سونے کے لئے) لیٹو تو چونیتس دفعہ”اللہ اکبر“، تینتیس دفعہ”سبحان اللہ“اور تینتیس دفعہ”الحمدللہ“کہہ لیا کرو۔ یہ تمہارے لئے ایک خادم سے بہتر ہے۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں یہ زیادہ ہے کہ سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ جب سے میں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے یہ سنا ہے، کبھی ترک نہیں کیا۔ آپ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا گیا کہ کیا صفین کی رات بھی تو جواب دیا کہ ہاں! صفین کی رات بھی (نہیں چھوڑا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1895]
