انگریزی ترجمہ
Sayyiduna Safwan (and he was Ibn 'Abdullah bin Safwan, and Umm al-Darda' was his wife) said: I came to Syria and went to the house of Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him), but he was not there, and I found Sayyidah Umm al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with her). She said to me: "Do you intend to perform Hajj this year?" I said, "Yes." Umm al-Darda' said: "Then supplicate for me, for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say: 'The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head is an appointed angel; whenever he supplicates good for his brother, the angel says, Amin, and may you have the same.'" Then I went out to the market and met Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him), and he too narrated the like from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا صفوان (اور وہ ابن عبداللہ بن صفوان تھے اور ان کے نکاح میں ام الدرداء تھیں) نے کہا کہمیں (ملک) شام میں آیا تو ابودرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کے مکان پر گیا۔ لیکن وہ نہیں ملے اور سیدہ ام الدرداء رضی اللہ عنہا ملیں۔ انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا کہ تم اس سال حج کا ارادہ رکھتے ہو؟ میں نے کہا کہ ہاں۔ ام الدرداء نے کہا کہ تو میرے لئے دعا کرنا، اس لئے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ مسلمان کی دعا اپنے بھائی کے لئے پیٹھ پیچھے قبول ہوتی ہے۔ اس کے سر کے پاس ایک فرشتہ معین ہے، جب وہ اپنے بھائی کی بہتری کی دعا کرتا ہے تو فرشتہ کہتا ہے آمین اور تمہیں بھی یہی ملے گا۔ پھر میں بازار کو نکلا تو ابودرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملاقات ہوئی تو انہوں نے بھی رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ایسا ہی روایت کیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1882]
