انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Umayr, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): I and Abd al-Rahman bin Yasar, who was the freed slave of Umm al-Mu'minin Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), went to Abu al-Jahm bin al-Harith. Abu al-Jahm said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was coming from the direction of the well of Jamal (a place near Medina), when a man met him on the way and greeted him with salam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not reply until he came to a wall and wiped his face and both his hands, and then returned the greeting.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عمیر مولیٰ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہمیں اور عبدالرحمن بن یسار جو ام المؤمنین نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی بیوی میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے مولیٰ تھے ابوالجہم بن حارث کے پاس گئے۔ ابوالجہم نے کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبئر جمل (مدینہ کے قریب ایک مقام ہے) کی طرف سے آئے، راہ میں ایک شخص ملا، اس نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو سلام کیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے جواب نہیں دیا یہاں تک کہ ایک دیوار کے پاس آئے اور منہ اور دونوں ہاتھوں پر مسح کیا اور پھر سلام کا جواب دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 167]
