Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "If the wealth of Bahrain comes to us, I will give you this much and this much and this much," and he gestured with both hands (meaning three handfuls). Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed away before the wealth of Bahrain arrived. That wealth came to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) after him, and he commanded an announcer to proclaim, "Whoever the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made a promise to, or who had a debt owed to him by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), let him come." Hearing this, I stood up and said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had promised me that if the wealth of Bahrain came, he would give me this much and this much and this much." Hearing this, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) took a handful, then said to me, "Count it." I counted it and it came to five hundred. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Take twice as much again (so it made three handfuls)." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1589]
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اگر ہمارے پاس بحرین کا مال آئے گا تو میں تجھے اتنا، اتنا اور اتنا دوں گا اور دونوں ہاتھوں سے اشارہ کیا (یعنی تین لپ بھر کر)۔ پھر بحرین کا مال آنے سے پہلے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی وفات ہو گئی۔ وہ مال سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے بعد آیا تو انہوں نے ایک منادی کو یہ آواز کرنے کے لئے حکم دیا کہ جس کے لئے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کچھ وعدہ کیا ہو، یا اس کا قرض آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر آتا ہو وہ آئے۔ یہ سن کر میں کھڑا ہوا اور کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ اگر بحرین کا مال آئے گا تو تجھ کو اتنا، اتنا اور اتنا دیں گے۔ یہ سن کر سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک لپ بھرا پھر مجھ سے کہا کہ اس کو گن۔ میں نے گنا تو وہ پانچ سو نکلے سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ اس کا دوگنا اور لے لے (تو تین لپ ہو گئے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1589]
