It is narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I will be driving people away from the edge of my Pond for the sake of the people of Yemen. I will strike with my staff until its water flows over the people of Yemen (from this the great excellence of the people of Yemen appears; they helped the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the world and protected him from enemies, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) too will help them in the Hereafter, and they will be the first to drink from the Pond of Kawthar)." Then he (peace be upon him) was asked, "How wide is this Pond?" He (peace be upon him) said, "As from here to Amman." Then he (peace be upon him) was asked, "How is its water?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two channels pour water into it, which are supplied with water from Paradise; one channel is of gold and one of silver."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہاللہ کے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میں اپنے حوض کے کنارے پر لوگوں کو ہٹاتا ہوں گا یمن والوں کے لئے۔ میں اپنی لکڑی سے ماروں گا، یہاں تک کہ یمن والوں پر اس کا پانی بہہ آئے گا (اس سے یمن والوں کی بڑی فضیلت نکلی۔ انہوں نے دنیا میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی مدد کی اور دشمنوں سے بچایا، پس نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبھی آخرت میں ان کی مدد کریں گے اور سب سے پہلے حوض کوثر سے وہ پئیں گے)۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے پوچھا گیا کہ اس حوض کا عرض کتنا ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جیسے یہاں سے عمان۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے پوچھا گیا کہ اس کا پانی کیسا ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ دودھ سے زیادہ سفید ہے اور شہد سے زیادہ میٹھا ہے۔ دو پرنالے اس میں پانی چھوڑتے ہیں، جن کو جنت سے پانی کی مدد ہوتی ہے ایک پرنالہ سونے کا ہے اور ایک چاندی کا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1554]
