انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) says: On the day of the Battle of the Confederates (Ahzab) the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was carrying earth with us (when the trench was dug around Medina), and the earth had covered the whiteness of his (peace be upon him) belly. He (peace be upon him) was saying: "By Allah the Exalted, had You not guided us, we would not have found the way, nor would we have given charity nor prayed. So send down upon us Your mercy. Those people (that is, the people of Mecca) did not accept our word (that is, did not believe)." And in one narration it is: "The chiefs did not accept our word. When they wish to speak of corruption (that is, polytheism and disbelief and the like), we do not share in it." And this he (peace be upon him) said in a loud voice.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا براء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمغزوہ احزاب کے دن ہمارے ساتھ مٹی ڈھوتے تھے (جب مدینہ کے گرد خندق کھودی گئی) اور مٹی نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پیٹ کی سفیدی کو چھپا لیا تھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمیہ فرما رہے تھے: قسم اللہ تعالیٰ کی اگر تو ہدایت نہ کرتا تو ہم راہ نہ پاتے اور نہ ہم صدقہ دیتے نہ نماز پڑھتے۔ تو ہم پر اپنی رحمت کو اتار ان لوگوں (یعنی مکہ والوں) نے ہمارا کہنا نہ مانا (یعنی ایمان نہ لائے) اور ایک روایت میں ہے کہ سرداروں نے ہمارا کہنا نہ مانا۔ جب وہ فساد کی بات کرنا چاہتے ہیں (یعنی شرک اور کفر وغیرہ) تو ہم ان کے شریک نہیں ہوتے اور یہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبلند آواز سے فرماتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1174]
