Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Ma'shar narrated to us, Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Amrah, from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about shooting stars. He said: «Allah, Blessed and Exalted, when He decrees a matter, the angels hear a sound like the dragging of chains on a smooth rock, and they fall prostrate. When the terror is removed from their hearts, they say: What did your Lord say? They say: The truth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.»
