Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: 'I went out with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on a journey. He would not relieve himself until he went far enough to be out of sight. We stopped at an open land where there was neither a tree nor any landmark. He stated: "O Jabir, put some water in your water-skin and come with me." We went until we were out of sight, and there were two trees with about four cubits between them. He stated: "O Jabir, go to that tree and tell it: The Messenger of Allah says to you: Join your companion so that I may sit behind you both." It joined the other tree, and the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sat behind them. Then they returned to their places. We rode with the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who was among us, and it was as if birds were shading us. Then a woman appeared with a child and submitted: O Messenger of Allah, this son of mine is afflicted by the devil three times every day. He took the child and placed him between himself and the front of the saddle, then stated: "Be gone, O enemy of Allah! I am the Messenger of Allah. Be gone, O enemy of Allah! I am the Messenger of Allah" — three times. Then he returned the child to her. When we completed our journey and passed by that place, the woman appeared with her child and two rams she was driving. She submitted: O Messenger of Allah, accept my gift. By the One who sent you with the truth, he (the devil) has not returned to him since. He stated: "Take one from her and return the other to her." Then we continued traveling with the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) among us, and it was as if birds were shading us. Then there was a runaway camel, and when it was between two rows of people, it fell prostrating. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sat down and called out to the people: "Who is the owner of this camel?" Some young men from the Ansar said: It is ours, O Messenger of Allah. He stated: "What is the matter with it?" They said: We have been drawing water with it for twenty years, and it had some fat on it, so we wanted to slaughter it and divide it among our servants, but it escaped from us. He stated: "Sell it to me." They said: No, rather it is yours, O Messenger of Allah. He stated: "If not, then treat it well until its time comes." The Muslims said at that point: O Messenger of Allah, we are more deserving of prostrating to you than the animals. He stated: "It is not befitting for anything to prostrate to anything else. And if that were permissible, it would be for wives to prostrate to their husbands."'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بیان کیا: میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں نکلا۔ آپ قضائے حاجت کے لیے اتنا دور جاتے کہ نظر نہ آتے۔ ہم ایک کھلے میدان میں اترے جہاں نہ درخت تھا نہ کوئی نشان۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اے جابر! اپنے مشکیزے میں پانی ڈالو اور میرے ساتھ چلو۔ ہم چلے یہاں تک کہ نظر سے اوجھل ہو گئے، وہاں دو درخت تھے جن کے درمیان چار ہاتھ کا فاصلہ تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اے جابر! اس درخت کے پاس جاؤ اور کہو: رسول اللہ فرماتے ہیں: اپنی ساتھی سے مل جاؤ تاکہ میں تم دونوں کے پیچھے بیٹھوں۔ وہ درخت اس سے مل گیا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے پیچھے بیٹھ گئے۔ پھر دونوں درخت اپنی جگہ واپس آ گئے۔ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ سوار ہوئے اور آپ ہمارے درمیان تھے گویا پرندے ہم پر سایہ کیے ہوئے ہیں۔ ایک عورت اپنے بچے کے ساتھ آئی اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میرے اس بیٹے کو روزانہ تین بار شیطان پکڑتا ہے۔ آپ نے بچے کو لیا اور اسے اپنے اور کجاوے کے سامنے والے حصے کے درمیان رکھا، پھر فرمایا: دور ہو اے اللہ کے دشمن! میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں۔ دور ہو اے اللہ کے دشمن! میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں — تین بار۔ پھر بچہ اس کی ماں کو واپس کر دیا۔ جب ہم سفر سے واپس ہوئے اور اس جگہ سے گزرے تو وہ عورت اپنے بچے اور دو مینڈھوں کے ساتھ آئی۔ اس نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میرا ہدیہ قبول فرمائیں۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا، اس کے بعد شیطان اس کے پاس نہیں آیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ایک لے لو اور دوسرا اسے واپس کر دو۔ پھر ہم چلے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہمارے درمیان تھے گویا پرندے ہم پر سایہ کیے ہوئے ہیں۔ اچانک ایک بھاگا ہوا اونٹ آیا اور جب وہ دو قطاروں کے درمیان آیا تو سجدے میں گر گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بیٹھ گئے اور لوگوں سے پوچھا: اس اونٹ کا مالک کون ہے؟ انصار کے کچھ نوجوان بولے: یا رسول اللہ! یہ ہمارا ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اسے کیا ہوا؟ انہوں نے کہا: بیس سال سے ہم اس سے پانی کھینچتے تھے اور اس پر کچھ چربی تھی تو ہم نے اسے ذبح کرکے اپنے غلاموں میں تقسیم کرنا چاہا مگر وہ ہم سے بھاگ گیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اسے مجھے بیچ دو۔ انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، بلکہ یہ آپ کا ہے یا رسول اللہ۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اگر نہیں تو اس کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرو یہاں تک کہ اس کی موت آ جائے۔ مسلمانوں نے اس موقع پر عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم جانوروں سے زیادہ آپ کو سجدہ کرنے کے حقدار ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: کسی چیز کو کسی چیز کے لیے سجدہ کرنا مناسب نہیں۔ اور اگر ایسا ہوتا تو عورتوں کو اپنے شوہروں کے لیے سجدہ کرنا چاہیے۔
