انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Envy (in the permissible sense) is allowed only in two things: first, towards a person to whom Allah has given the Qur'an and who recites it night and day, so that his neighbour, hearing him, says, 'Would that I too had been given the like of this (Qur'an), and I would act as he does'; and second, towards a person to whom Allah has given wealth which he spends in the way of truth, so that someone says (out of envy), 'Would that I too had been given wealth like such-and-such a person, and I would spend it (in the way of truth) as he does.'"
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”رشک صرف دو چیزوں میں جائز ہے ایک تو اس شخص پر کہ جسے اللہ نے قرآن دیا اور وہ اسے رات اور دن میں پڑھتا رہتا ہو تو اس کا پڑوسی سن کر کہے کہ کاش! مجھے بھی اس کے مثل (قرآن) نصیب ہوتا تو بھی اسی طرح عمل کرتا جس طرح وہ کرتا ہے اور دوسرے اس شخص پر کہ جسے اللہ نے مال عطا کیا اور وہ اس کو راہ حق میں خرچ کرتا ہو پھر کوئی شخص (بطور رشک) کہے کہ کاش! مجھے بھی اسی طرح مال و دولت ملتی جس طرح فلاں کو دی گئی تو میں بھی اسی کی طرح (راہ حق میں) خرچ کرتا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1816]
