أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَشَهَّدُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ نَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مَنْ يُطِعِ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ رَشَدَ وَمَنْ يَعْصِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضُرُّ اللهَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu 'Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Abu al-'Awwam, from Qatadah, from 'Abd Rabbihi, from Abu 'Iyad, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to begin with the testimony (tashahud): All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him and seek His help. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls. Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide; and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. He sent him with the truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner before the Hour. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has been guided, and whoever disobeys them, he harms no one but himself and does not harm Allah at all.'
