أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ أَنَّ ثَابِتًا مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي وَالْمَاشِي عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ الْمَاشِيَانِ إِذَا اجْتَمَعَا فَأَيُّهُمَا بَدَأَ بِالسَّلَامِ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu 'Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq al-Faqih narrated to us, al-Harith ibn Abi Usamah narrated to us, Rawh ibn 'Ubadah narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Ziyad informed me that Thabit — the freed slave of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd — informed him, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), who said: "The rider greets the walker, the walker greets the one sitting, and the few greet the many." Ibn Jurayj said: Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir say: "When two walkers meet, whichever of them initiates the greeting (salam) is better."
