أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا عَمْرٍو وَسَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ كُنَّا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَمِائَةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ خَيْرُ مَنْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ لَوْلَا بَصَرِي لَأَرَيْتُكُمْ مَوْضِعَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ وَكَذَلِكَ

Jabir ibn Abdullah said: 'We were one thousand four hundred on the day of al-Hudaybiyah. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: You are today the best people on earth.'
