وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ لَهُ أَجِبْ رَبَّكَ قَالَ فَلَطَمَ مُوسَى عَيْنَ مَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ فَفَقَأَهَا قَالَ فَرَجَعَ الْمَلَكُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَقَالَ إِنَّكَ أَرْسَلْتَنِي إِلَى عَبْدٍ لَكَ لَا يُرِيدُ الْمَوْتَ وَقَدْ فَقَأَ عَيْنِي قَالَ فَرَدَّ اللَّهُ عَيْنَهُ وَقَالَ ارْجِعْ إِلَى عَبْدِي فَقُلْ الْحَيَاةَ تُرِيدُ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ فَضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَى مَتْنِ ثَوْرٍ فَمَا تَوَارَتْ بِيَدِكَ مِنْ شَعْرَةٍ فَإِنَّكَ تَعِيشُ بِهَا سَنَةً قَالَ ثُمَّ مَهْ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَمُوتُ قَالَ فَالْآنَ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ قَالَ رَبِّ أَدْنِنِي مِنْ الْأَرْضِ الْمُقَدَّسَةِ رَمْيَةً بِحَجَرٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ أَنِّي عِنْدَهُ لَأَرَيْتُكُمْ قَبْرَهُ إِلَى جَنْبِ الطَّرِيقِ عِنْدَ الْكَثِيبِ الْأَحْمَرِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The Angel of Death came to Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, and said: Answer your Lord. Musa struck the eye of the Angel of Death and put it out. The angel returned to Allah the Almighty and said: You sent me to a servant who does not want to die, and he has put out my eye. Allah restored his eye and said: Go back to My servant and say to him: Do you want life? If you want life, then place your hand on the back of a bull, and for every hair your hand covers, you shall live a year. He said: Then what? He said: Then you shall die. He said: Then let it be now, while I am close. He said: O Lord, bring me near to the Holy Land, within a stone's throw. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: By Allah, if I were there, I would show you his grave beside the road near the red sand dune.'
