Abidah ibn Humayd told us: Ubaydullah ibn Umar told me, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray placing the camel crosswise between himself and the qiblah. Ubaydullah said: I asked Nafi', 'When the camels were gone, what did Ibn Umar do?' He said: He would place the back part of the saddle crosswise between himself and the qiblah.
