حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَهَجَّدُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَقُلْتُ لِسَالِمٍ كَانَا يُوتِرَانِ قَالَ نَعَمْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Jabir: I heard Salim ibn Abdullah narrating from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would not pray more than two rak'ahs while traveling, except that he would perform the night vigil prayer. Jabir said: I said to Salim, "Did the two of them pray witr?" He said, "Yes."
