حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ قَالَ أَبِي و حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ فَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ لَهَا إِنِّي قَدْ أَهْدَيْتُ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ حُلَّةً وَأَوَاقِيَّ مِنْ مِسْكٍ وَلَا أَرَى النَّجَاشِيَّ إِلَّا قَدْ مَاتَ وَلَا أَرَى إِلَّا هَدِيَّتِي مَرْدُودَةً عَلَيَّ فَإِنْ رُدَّتْ عَلَيَّ فَهِيَ لَكِ قَالَ وَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرُدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ هَدِيَّتُهُ فَأَعْطَى كُلَّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أُوقِيَّةَ مِسْكٍ وَأَعْطَى أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ بَقِيَّةَ الْمِسْكِ وَالْحُلَّةَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yazid ibn Harun told us, he said: Muslim ibn Khalid informed us, from Musa ibn Uqbah, from his mother Umm Kulthum. My father said: And Husayn ibn Muhammad told us, he said: Muslim told us and mentioned it, saying: from his mother Umm Kulthum bint Abi Salamah, she said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Umm Salamah, he said to her: "I sent a gift to the Negus — a robe and some ounces of musk — and I do not think the Negus is anything but dead, and I do not think my gift will be anything but returned to me; if it is returned to me, it is yours." He said: And it happened as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and his gift was returned to him. So he gave each of his wives an ounce of musk, and gave Umm Salamah the rest of the musk and the robe.
